Early to mid summer in Colorado inevitably brings late afternoon thunderstorms. This in turn usually means i'll have a couple of shoots to reschedule during these months. But, because I have such stellar clients...[really, you're the best!]...rescheduling a shoot once in a while due to an impending little black rain cloud is never a problem.
Nicole and Andrew were one sweet couple who I worked with to make sure we had optimal shooting conditions for their engagement shoot at Kountze Park in Lakewood, CO. We were able to just barely avoid the storms for a second attempt at a shoot at this lovely location that boasts several different scenes within just a mile and half trail around a small lake. Along our walk through fields, bridges, ponds, weeping willows and tall grass I was able to snap away and get to know this adorable couple who's wedding I will be shooting in November. [See also: Importance of an engagement shoot - I get to know your style, your tone, your likes, dislikes and which side you think is your best. I for sure have a side I'd rather have photographed. My left side has a better bang/forehead ratio, as an example]. And because Colorado rarely disappoints, it awarded us with a rainbow against the quickly descending dark and stormy sky we'd been eyeing throughout our shoot. Perfection.
Nicole and Andrew - you are adorable and so fun to work with. So excited for your wedding!
Here are some favs. Enjoy.
Stick around. Stay tuned. xo.
